You’ve Gotta See This

IMG_Imba

Fans of Sing the Bible Volume 1, listen up!  There is a movie out that you MUST SEE.

If you love Sing the Bible Volume 1, you owe it to yourself and your kids to go see Imba Means Sing. Imba Means Sing is a fantastic and deeply moving documentary about the African Children Choir. But these aren’t just any amazing ACC kids, this movie is about the actual Ugandan kids that sing on Sing the Bible Vol 1!.

The main boy in the movie, Moses, is the same boy that reads “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, stand firm then, and do not let yourself be burdened again by the yoke of slavery” on “Freedom” – Sing the Bible’s opening track. Listen for yourself right here…

This is a big deal. The filmmakers spent 3 years following this African Children’s Choir around the world and made a brilliant documentary all about their journey. It is deeply moving while also being educational and full of hope. We want our children to be aware of their privilege and the vast disparity in the world, but it can be difficult to find a way to introduce children to the reality of poverty. Imba goes there but with great hope for the future.  Please, check out the screening schedule and if it’s coming near you, go see it! You will be so glad you did.

Also, if you don’t blink, you’ll catch a glimpse of yours truly leading the choir in the studio here in Nashville. That’s right, I’m in the movie! Amazingly, 100% of profits are going to support the education of children in Africa, which is why Im working hard to spread the word about the film.
